Want to be a leader for positive change in your cOMmunity?
Need an anchor – a group of kindred spirits to connect with during these uncertain times in our world?
Seeking a respected, and established, yoga teacher training program to deepen your practice and prepare you to teach?
You have come to the right place.

Nectar Yoga Studios: 7 years in the DC area, and 12 successful 200-hour yoga teacher training classes. Look no further!

Our updated curriculum reflects the needs of the new normal! How?
1. Training class size is now capped. We diligently respect social distancing needs when in-person.
2. The training is a combination of limited in-person meetings and virtual meetings. We want every trainee to feel comfortable.

Learn the skills needed to teach challenging, inspirational, and safe yoga classes.

Our curriculum is divided into weekend modules. Nectar Yoga’s user friendly format teaches students to apply the knowledge and skills learned in a practical way. Trainees are developed to become confident yoga professionals upon graduation.

Unlike many YTT programs, our mentoring does not stop there: we support our graduates beyond graduation with internship opportunities.

Our program is unique! Return to the Nectar Yoga teacher training alumni family any time after certification completion to audit modules for continuing education!

Simply put, we teach teachers. Our program is built for busy, adult learners seeking flexibility.

What We Offer:

Our 200-hour program is convenient for those with busy schedules. We allow for module make-ups.

Authored by Jane Bahneman, M.S., (E-RYT 500, RPYT (prenatal), ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, ACE Group Fitness Instructor), the training is taught by professional educators. In addition to years of yoga education and experience, the lead facilitators boast a combined 30+ years of experience in the industry, and hold advanced degrees in Education. Guest faculty are leaders in their fields, and have been hand-picked for their exceptional expertise.

Curriculum is intelligently designed, and presented in an easy to digest format. Participants will embark on a complete journey – building both the hard and soft skills required of teaching yoga. From enhancing personal self-awareness to understanding and applying the art and science of yoga instruction and leadership, trainees are guided via the unique educational system: observation, integration, teaching application.

Mentorship opportunities are available exclusively for our graduates. Investment in the mentorship provides new instructors with the opportunity to gain real-life teaching experience; assist seasoned instructors; and learn more about the business of yoga. Interns also receive preference for job openings when available. Additional information is provided during the training.

Your yoga teacher certification is an investment; each required resource will be used extensively during our program.
