When Nancy discovered this practice, it was like coming home. It provided a welcome respite from an all too busy life working on the Hill, and tending to the needs of family. Nancy has earned her ERYT 200, and a certification from Baxter Bell, MD, in yoga for healthy aging. She emphasizes the importance of strength, balance, flexibility, alignment, breath, and, most importantly, listening to one’s body, accepting it and being grateful for all it can do. Yoga, the union of body, mind and spirit, with no judgment, no competition, just an exploration of what it means to be alive.
